Parents and kids will be happy to learn that the popular Disney On Ice will once again return to Joburg this month for the sixth time running.
Presented by Feld Entertainment, The Wonderful World of Disney On Ice will run at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg from Friday 30 June until Sunday 9 July, so families will get to celebrate all the magic and fun Disney has to offer for a few days.
Kids can expect to catch the likes of Mickey and Minnie Mouse and all the Disney characters skate their way down memory lane re-enacting some of the best moments in Disney history. Dory is back with loved ones Memo and Marlin from Disney Pixar’s Finding Dory, while Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs prove anything is possible with great friends.
Travel to the wintry world of Arendelle with sisters Anna and Elsa, and the hilarious Olaf from Disney`s Frozen as they learn that true love is the greatest magic of all. Reach for your dreams with Rapunzel, as her determination illuminates her inner strength. Buzz and Woody will have kids jumping out of your seat in a foot-stomping hoedown. Simba, Timon and Pumbaa prowl the Pride Lands of Africa as Jasmine, Aladdin and Genie show how friendship is fearless. Plus your favourite Disney Princesses will take to the ice and showcase the courage and strength that led them to reach their dreams.
“Each year, the show is a completely different production and, based on the audience appreciation, we believe Disney On Ice is fast becoming a regular annual event on the South African winter events calendar,” says Tony Feldman from Showtime Management.
