It’s the new hotspot in Joburg, and if you have not yet visited The Bull Ring – make sure that you plan a trip to the stylish new racecourse, restaurant and event venue in Randjesfontein, Midrand.
Deep in the heart of horse country north of Johannesburg, the newly revamped Bull Ring is set to accommodate a host of events. Horse racing enthusiasts will flock to enjoy the fixtures that will be added to and complement the horse racing calendar, while corporates can rent the land, as well as the chic new restaurant, The Bull Ring Grill and Bar, for events ranging from car launches to year end functions or sporting events.
The venue seats 150 people easily and The Bull Ring Grill and Bar boasts a stylish industrial chic look with quirky touches, and an extensive menu, which caters for all occasions – from business lunches and after work drinks and tapas, to chilled family dinners and nights out with the boys.
Or if you are in the mood for a tantalising cold one and a great vibe, you can enjoy one of the best craft beers Jozi has to offer, Bullish Craft Beer – always on tap and ready to compliment any meal.
The Bull Ring Grill and Bar is open for breakfast and lunch on weekdays, and breakfast, lunch and dinner on weekends and public holidays. The premises is fully licensed and the extensive menu offers great value for money.
Dynamic husband and wife duo, Tumelo and Celeste Matsose, recently acquired the rights to the restaurant and the eventing arm of the Ranjesfontein Training Centre with a view to turning it into the hip and happening space that it has now become.
“We envisaged a lively locale where people could mingle and have fun in a relaxed outdoor setting out in the country and away from the city. One of the things we loved about the property is the sheer size of it, which provides the flexibility for clients to use the space in a vast variety of ways. They can utilise the existing infrastructure of the Grill and Bar, spill out into the more casual beer garden terrace outside overlooking the racetrack, only 5 meters away. Or bring in infrastructure to host massive events on the expansive lawns and racetrack,” says Celeste.
“We have ambitious plans for The Bull Ring and look forward to hosting many thrilling events here. Think Pimms and lemonades or vast coolers of champagne on ice, as the well-heeled enjoy a day at the races, or families and friends enjoying the weekend Farmer’s Markets we have planned,” she adds.
