If you love a good night out – dancing up a storm and listening to some of the hottest international and local EDM DJ’s in the world – then ULTRA 2019 is the place for you.
EDM stands for Electronic Dance Music (as made popular by the likes of Skrillex and Deadmau5) and if you love a good beat, partying like you are twenty years old and enjoying the beats of some of the world top DJ’s then you do not want to miss out on the 2019 event.
ULTRA has been lifting spirits (and the beat) for an incredible twenty years already internationally and was first hosted in Miami, USA in 1999! Although the main event is hosted in America – countries such as Singapore, South Korea, Mexico and Brazil have seen their own events being birthed – and so has South Africa, now entering it’s sixth year in the Ultra stable.
This open-air dance event brings back a familiar festival feeling, larger dance floors and the party atmosphere that ULTRA is known for.
The Jozi event will continue its long-standing tradition at Expo Centre, Nasrec. The venue’s size, accessibility and infrastructure make it the best suited venue in the city to house this iconic electronic dance music brand, and this years line up is not to be missed! The Joburg show is scheduled for Saturday 2nd March (with Cape Town taking place on 1st March) and will play host to the likes of The Chainsmokers, Martin Garrix, Infected Mushroom, Vini Vici, Black Coffee and a whole bunch more.
The event focusses around three stages that embrace different forms and types of house and dance music and the gates open at 14h00. The event usually runs for about 12 hours and the 2019 experience is set to be one not to be missed. We hear that tickets are selling like hot cakes and we have already made sure that ours are secured.
