Est Est Alea
Est Est Alea is a new tasting restaurant in Parktown North Johannesburg created by the acclaimed Chef Dario De Angeli, of Cube Tasting Kitchen fame. Est Est Alea was born out of the idea of constant evolution in a fine dining experience.
Dario is a perfectionist by nature and someone who wants to push boundaries when it comes to dining. After owning and running Cube Tasting Kitchen successfully for the past 8 years, it was time for a transformation. Their lunch menu is a 2-course, 3-course or 4-course tasting menu while dinner is offered from 7pm onwards and is a choice between their exploratory menu (9 courses) or their 6-course menu.
Some of the tantalizing dishes on their exploratory menu include smoked cucumber heart with yoghurt, langoustine and Thai sourness, Cured duck breast. Squash. Seeds. Harissa and pork belly. While dessert options include a poached pear, bread and butter pudding with brandy butter and custard as well as a cheese platter.

Lanser’s On Main
Lanser’s on Main is the new hotspot in Bryanston that serves French and Italian Bistro style food, with an ambiance to match. Choose between their stuffed calamari or mushroom parcels forstarters and porcini risotto, linguini prawn pasta or their honey garlic chicken for mains.
They also offer an extensive pizza menu with pizza options like bacon and brie and their Lizzie special. For dessert, you don’t want to miss their chocolate fondant or their decadent bar one cheesecake.

Van Der Linde
Van Der Linde Restaurant (VDL) is based in Linden and includes 4 components; the Bakery & Deli, the Gin & Juice Bar, the Restaurant and the Wine Shop. Historically Linden, founded by Johannes Van Der Linde, was well known for its rich soil which allowed for beautiful fruit orchards, some of which still exist today.
Inspired by local and traditional food merged with international culinary trends, we share your passion for fine quality food served in a warm and friendly environment. Starters include marrow bones and a beetroot and goats cheese salad, mains include harissa grilled paneer, mushroom and truffle ravioli and lamb gnocchi, while dessert options include a cheese board or baked chocolate pudding or crème brûlée.

The Green Room JHB
Expect delectable breakfasts and scrumptious lunches at The Green Room in Greenside. Located inside the Pirates Sports Club, this new venue is available for hire for kid’s parties, corporate functions and other events as well as private functions in the evenings.
They offer a large spread of catering options for a variety of tastes, dietary requirements and function sizes. Some of the breakfast options include flapjacks and freshly baked pastries.

Hemelhuijs x So Yum
Hold on to your gastronomic hats because the team behind one of the Cape’s most sophisticated food spots is heading our way. Hemelhuijs and So Yum in Hyde Park have collaborated to present Hemelhuijs x So Yum, a new offering anchored by Hemelhuijs’ famous breakfast menu.
The breakfast menu at So Yum is small and is Asian inspired, but the main breakfast offering will be coming from the team at Hemelhuijs.
More hearty options will include grilled farm sausage in tomato and onion “smoor” with soft poached egg, which are also served with homemade potato rösti with herbed crème fraiche and with roasted artichoke and hollandaise sauce. Hemelhuijs X So Yum breakfast is served from Monday to Sunday 08h00 – 12h00.
