The Hydraulics concept store in Sandton City is proud to announce they are officially the exclusive stockists of international luxury brands, Moschino and DSquared2 menswear apparel.

The store’s directors, Matthew & Dylan Bolus started feeling the need to service more customers with sought after luxury brands that aren’t available in South Africa, saying, “We are known as a denim multi-brand store so we asked ourselves what denims would we love to own and the answer was simple, it had to be DSquared2” said Matthew, before further adding,
“Our decision to go for Moschino was slightly different. We needed another ready to wear brand that people all knew and had a history but no presence in South Africa. Jeremy Scott has completely transformed the brand in the last few years and made the product “cool” again.”

Moschino was originally created in 1983 by the late Franco Moschino (1950–1994). Moschino and his fashion label became famous for his innovative, colourful – sometimes eccentric – designs, for his love of fairies, for his criticisms of the fashion industry and for his social awareness campaigns in the early 1990s. Since Jeremy Scott took on the role as Creative Director in 2013, Moschino has catapulted itself into the spotlight with its bold logo designs, slogan T-shirts and pop-culture favourite cellphone cases. The brand’s latest collection is half artful-collision, half meaningful-division, with a strong military theme.
On the other hand, DSquared2 was designed and created by Dean and Dan Caten, twin brothers from Willowdale in Toronto. After collaborating with some of Italy’s most celebrated fashion houses, in 1995 the designers presented their first men’s collection under the label Dsquared2. Dsquared2’s philosophy is an edgy mix of Canadian iconography, refined Italian tailoring and playful sensuality. The collection includes a contrast of sporty and glamorous, masculine and feminine and laidback and extravagant.

These two brands are bold, artsy and full of life and embody some of the confident men’s styles you see from all over the world. Both brands are available at the Hydraulics store in Sandton City shopping centre.
